Chopin – The Waltzes

Works inspired by waltz dance form but having no utilitarian function, and destined for listening only. Chopin wrote 19 waltzes.

    Wonderful website. I wanted to let you know that I’ll be performing the 14 Chopin Waltzes which Dinu Lipatti played at his last recital in 1950, and in the order in which he played them – along with Op. 101 by Beethoven and a new piano sonata by Jian-jun He, at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, April 10.
